This is a quick post for my Advising and Coaching clients.
I appreciate the valuable time you spend working with me. I’m going to suggest you invest 2 more, high-impact, minutes in our coaching.
You’re successful, busy, juggling many balls at once. We come together every couple of weeks arriving with the zoom-version of “out of breath” to launch into our discussions.
I set aside time before a session and review notes and remind myself what’s been top of mind for us. I also force myself to spend two minutes before we meet to breathe and let my mind clear. I’d like to suggest you do the same.
It’s tempting to not “waste” a minute of time and jump from what we were doing straight into our meeting. But taking a moment to clear our minds makes us receptive, opening a space for a mental context switch to happen. It allows us to be concentrated and get the most out of the brief hour we work together.
Try it; let me know how it feels. Chanting and lotus position are optional!
